Easy ways to add color and ambience: towels-hand and bath towels; candles-aromatic fragrances to soothe the soul; soaps that emit a particular fragrance that brings peace or good memories, such as vanilla, or cinnamon; color schemed rugs that contrast or are complement the colors you’ve chosen; bath mats that match or are a shade in contrast can also create a sense of unity, tying the whole package together to present a simple, and well organized bathroom.
Like installing a new bathtub, converting or updating a shower space is a major undertaking with a bathroom remodel. If you’re planning to renovate or alter your home’s shower, don’t forget that hiring a plumber may be necessary for any drain or water supply pipe alterations. The range of configurations for shower enclosures and surrounds are almost endless, but here are a few setups to think about with your bathroom remodel.
Remember: you don’t have to include all of these items in your bathroom remodel, unless you’re building a whole new bathroom from scratch. You always have the option to add some pieces-sink, toilet and lighting fixtures-after you’ve done the bigger projects to spread out costs. Also consider that some of these projects-bathtub installation, shower installation or cabinet installation-have smaller, cheaper alternatives. For example, you can refinish cabinets to make them look brand new and flow with the new bathroom for less money. There is also the option of replacing faucets and other plumbing fixtures, which costs less than replacing bathtubs and showers.
We didn’t have to remove and replace the didn’t have to cut around any could make the design as simple or complex as we could make the wainscoting come up higher on the wall. We preferred the look of the wainscoting being a few inches lower but it wouldn’t provide the wall protection up higher that we was very affordable and used far less wood than many of the other options and required fewer felt we could complete the project within a few days.
