I have found it is important to try different cleaners in small spots or if you have any extra pieces left over, you could test them without risk of damaging your floors. AFTER: I sanded and painted the wood panel, trim and plastic handle with gray primer and spray paint to put them all in the same color family with the interior plastic color. The blue rug on the bottom just needed a little cleaning. Prime and paint the window jambs and sill before setting the glass block panel to save time-consuming painting details.

Get hold of windows or sliding glass cupboard doors (new or recycled) of an appropriate size and make your backsplash to fit them, then mount them over the wallpaper or fabric. Every room needs a focal point. A focal point adds a highlight to any space and serves as the basis for all other design decisions in the room. Any other features, furnishings and accent pieces in the room should draw attention or enhance the focal point, not compete with it in any way. We just replaced the basin and light and fixed the ceiling in our bathroom, that’s enough fun for me!

The curtains on the back Eric are even worse & you should see the inside. I can’t believe they let someone do this. I may have read it was a $3 million home but I would have to check back on that!! Still I wouldn’t pass it up if I should win it! I had to order everything, so I wasn’t able to measure the tub spouts or see the finishes. I ordered two faucet kits and three cover plates in the hopes that some combination of them will work. This is my first instructable so my pictures were vertical and horizontal. I didn’t realize they needed to be all the same so some of them don’t show well with the formatting.

The best part of the tub surrounds is their easy installation. In just a few hours, you can install a new tub surround that will give your tired old bathroom an effective facelift and makeover! My favorite detail would be the upper cabinets. They provide more space, they also provide more design details. Borrowing from the kitchen, the upper cabinets are my first feature of choice for the bathroom. Cut the main stack and all the other waste lines feeding the bathroom about 3 ft. below the floor. Unhook any strapping and remove the entire plumbing tree.
