After application, you need to cleanup by sweeping away any leftover stain and residue with a broom after flooding the floor with water. It is always a good idea to shop vac the water so as to get the residue up and out of the pores of the concrete and make it a little easier for the stain to get into the pores. When the floor is thoroughly dry, it is a good idea to apply a sealer agent … Read More
To say I’m in love is an understatement. As I mentioned in my first post , this was actually completed 2 years ago, and I can say today that I walk in every morning and still love it. Maybe living in an ugly, unfinished bathroom for 3 years has that effect!
Tile is another material that you touch and feel each day. While you can find quality options for $5 per square foot, super cut-rate tiles may have slight size inconsistencies. The results will be crooked lines that make a bathroom look shoddy. I’d also bought a piece of ceiling tile back in March. I gave one square off to give to Callie and painted the other one blue to match the ruffles on the shower curtain. I turned up the corners with pliers and used glued a metal flower to the middle (to echo the flower on the window … Read More
How often do you see a filthy spa bathroom with a mildewed ceiling? If spa owners let their bathrooms deteriorate like that, they certainly won’t receive many customers. No matter how spacious or well-decorated your bathroom is, it will not become a true place to relax unless it is sparkling clean. So the first step of creating a bathroom spa is to make everything look spotless. Pay extra attention to all the corners and hard-to-reach spots. Throw away old bottles of shampoo and soap that have been sitting there untouched for ages.
Plan on a large food budget as you may be purchasing items which you do not normally use such as paper plates and plastic utensils as it can be cumbersome washing dishes and pots and pans from the outdoor faucet, a utility room sink, or the bathroom sink. Many tubs and showers have ceramic tile on the walls. If so a special drill bit must be used to drill the mounting holes for your new panel as a regular bit will at best do nothing and will more likely crack the tile and ruin it. Just slip them on and slide into all those small spaces that mops can’t go! Perfect if you only have a small area that needs to be cleaned. They are available for men or women and feature various colors.

Spice up your mantelpiece by decorating it with similarly grouped items. Collect objects that are similar in nature such as wood items, only items with letters on them, items that are old fashioned or different sized decorative paper boxes. They create an interesting focal point near your fireplace and can prove to be conversation pieces. LUCKILY The faucet ~which I had purchased for the OTHER sink~ FIT PERFECTLY with this setup! I found the faucet on Overstock… cute huh!

The way you install a new showerhead is to unscrew the old one and screw on the new one. It is pretty much the same as changing a lightbulb. You can do it!
With three estimates to do the foundation repair, the chosen vendor warned me that there might be additional expense, depending what they found once they got the house off the ground. This should have been a major red flag. Over the past fifty years, the frame house had sunken deep into the Texas mud. All of the above that YOU did scares me except for the buying beautiful towels part and the sign making. Yep. You’re my NEW HERO!!!! I am impressed! I have seen those, and they are expensive. You are very clever to create one (2) yourself.

The design of having two arches on your front facade is very striking. While not always feasable for a remodeling project, a great design idea for building. The example to the right does a triple play with the two arches and then the added columns – great exterior design! A number of factors contribute to the overall expense of a basement remodel. Be sure to evaluate the condition of your basement and talk with your contractor about how its features or limitations relate to selecting appropriate materials and performing prep work for your renovation. What about an apoxy garage floor coating in the basement? My friend just got that done and loves it!

If you bought your cabinets at an IKEA store, you can go back to the store with your receipt and get a replacement for the missing part. Calling ahead to see if they have the part you need is a good idea, especially if you have far to go to visit the store. Quite a few of those in Malta, especially in the craft village, although they’re somewhat more basic. Just a corrugated tin shell with some tables and display units inside. Some really cool digs here, though. I just had a contractor give me an estimate for 17,000- 19,000 for a … Read More

That is cheaper than most laminate! BUT, you have to sand them, and stain them. If you do it yourself…which is NOT hard, it saves a LOT of money!
