I had talked about it several times.. and finally convinced Mr.Z and our contractor/cabinet maker son, that we needed to remodel the bathroom now and make it accessible for the elderly and handicap.

As a rule of thumb, artwork should be placed no more than five to nine inches above a sofa and no more than seven to ten inches above a table. The placement of your artwork should also relate to its surroundings. As a guideline for proportion, one or more pictures (including mirrors or other wall décor) should cover about 2/3 of the wall space above the piece of furniture. For example, if you have a 6 foot wide sofa, plan on a single picture or an arrangement that is about 4 feet wide and centered above the sofa.

Our fixer upper that A and I purchased in Indiana was slowly becoming our dream. Room by room we repaired floors, walls, fixtures, and replaced furniture. When we learned of A’s relocation we knew we would have to start all over again. It’s not in the cards for us to purchase our dream home finished for us, plus it’s more fun to create that dream.

I don’t know if you’ve seen some of that faux wood tile recently, but they are getting GOOD. I had my heart set on this beautiful ash white specimen for much of the debate. Bathroom Remodel REVEAL! ~ Lindsey Does

Hello loves. It’s always ultra exciting to finally get to reveal a finished project to you, the culmination of months (sometimes a year+) of work. It’s pretty much the day that every designer lives for.

So I designed all the windows and doors (except one window) to fit around the five plate glass sheets that were originally part of a display cabinet in the local DIY store. The glass for the main window, looking out from the home DIY workshop bench, was one half of a double glazed window which a builder salvaged for me when we had our living room replaced with French Doors; the other half of the double glazed window was stored and later used as a window in the side of a small potting shed.
